Launched by Prince Harry earlier this year, the Invictus Games will use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect of those who serve their country.

The Games are due to start on September 10 with an Opening Ceremony at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London and conclude on September 14.

Some of the highlights include the wheelchair rugby at the Copper Box Arena on September 12.

After the official action, there will be a celebrity match, when Prince Harry will be joined on the court by sporting luminaries Dame Kelly Holmes, Denise Lewis, Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall.

The following day, the wheelchair basketball competition is scheduled to get underway at the same venue, and again the Copper Box Arena plays host to the sitting volleyball on the final day of action.

Both wheelchair rugby and wheelchair basketball competition will be split across three sessions, with sitting volleyball matches split across two.

In total, nine sports will be played over the four days, with more than 400 sick, wounded and injured service men and women from 13 nations taking part.

The Invictus Games are being organised with the support and backing of The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as Prince Harry and the Ministry of Defence.
